FINAL UPDATE - 4:23 PM ET - Sites are still up and running. To give you an idea of what happened earlier, we experienced a database outage due to unscheduled maintenance performed by the Rackspace team. We were forced to cutover to our backup databases, which had restored functionality of sites as of about 20 minutes ago.

We will be performing emergency maintenance this evening to restore our primary database servers. The maintenance window for tonight is between 11PM and 1AM ET. During this period of time, websites may be intermittently unavailable for up to one hour.

We appreciate your patience while we worked to resolve the outage this afternoon, and while we continue to work tonight to move back to the primary database servers.

RESOLUTION - 4:05 PM ET - We have an interim fix in place, so sites are now up - we will be updating you shortly on a final resolution.


UPDATE - 3:43 PM ET - We are still actively working together with our host to determine the process for resolving the issues with the DB errors we're seeing. We will continue to update you as we get more information.


UPDATE - 3:21 PM ET - Our tech team is working directly with our web host to resolve a database issue affecting many of the sites we host - we will provide an estimated time of resolution shortly. Thanks so much for your continued patience.


3:01 PM ET - We are seeing intermittent "Error establishing a database connection" messages on websites. Please be assured that we are aware of the issue and we are working on finding a resolution to the problem.
